About Me
Hi, I’m Jenny -wife, mama, farm girl, and passionate food-lover from Montana.
Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.
I was born and raised under the wide-open skies of Montana , a place where hard work, homegrown food, and heart-filled hospitality are a way of life. I live on a small farm with my husband and kids, where we raise animals, tend to our garden, and share a whole lot of meals around the table.
Food has always been more than just something to eat for me. It’s a language , one I use to show love, create connection, and bring comfort. Whether it’s a warm casserole dropped off on a hard day, a cookie baked “just because,” or a family dinner after a long day outside, I believe food is one of the most powerful ways we care for each other.
Over time, our family’s relationship with food has evolved. These days, we eat mostly plant-based and mostly gluten-free, while still enjoying the beef we raise right here on our farm. I believe in balance, in listening to your body, and in honoring where your food comes from , whether it’s grown in our garden or raised with care in our pastures.
This blog was born from a dream I’ve carried for years, and a calling that became clear in the face of something hard: kidney disease. Over the past six months, our family has walked a journey filled with doctor visits, health challenges, and learning a whole new way of cooking and eating. It’s been overwhelming at times but it’s also shown me how deeply food can support healing, dignity, and joy.
That’s why I started this blog to share what I’ve learned and to help others walking a similar path. You’ll find kidney-friendly recipes, stories from our Montana farm, seasonal garden inspiration, and real-life encouragement for anyone navigating health challenges without wanting to sacrifice flavor or connection at the table.
So whether you’re here for a recipe, a resource, or a reminder that you’re not alone, you’re welcome at this table.
With love (and food)
Jenny
